My Scoliosis story

I've been bullied off and on my whole life. When I was little my family didnt know I had Scoliosis we just thought that one leg was shorter than the other. Then we finally went to a doctor and found out I had Scoliosis. That's when I started going to Shriners Hospital for Children in St. Louis. In 2008 I had surgery I was 8 years old. Since I was 8 I was really scared and the doctors and nurses made me feel so loved and cared for. One of my nurses names was Bob and he had Bob the Builder all on his name tag so I just called him Bob the builder. After I left the hospital that's when the bullying started people would just look at me weird and talk about me. People even started calling me a robot and have just always made me feel so uncomfortable. So I started wearing big clothes and stopped talking about my Scoliosis or the surgery. It's only recently that I've actually been able to talk about. I still get bullied every now and then but I've decided not to let it bring me down like I used to. I'm 15 almost 16 now and I'm definitely a changed person.
